"Concentrated prayer is sending prayers as ‘smart bombs’ to exact targets continually and consistently over an extended period of time. This is an urgent need in these critical, crisis times."
David said, “…in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee…” (Psalm 5:3). Perhaps David was thinking about the aim of an arrow as his skilful hands bent the bow to direct it to its target. If an arrow in the hands of skill can hit a target, why could not a skilful pray-er direct prayers in a concentrated force to a particular target?
In more modern terminology, if ‘smart bombs,’ which were used during the Gulf War, can be so directed they go down a smoke stack to hit a target, can prayer not be so directed as to affect its target in concentrated form? Concentrated prayer is sending prayers as ‘smart bombs’ to exact targets continually and consistently over an extended period of time. This is an urgent need in these critical, crisis times. General prayer can be generally powerless. Ask specifically—don’t hint—and it will be done!
The challenge: Seek the mind of the Spirit as to where and for whom to concentrate specific prayer—a missionary, a pastor, an evangelist, a nation, a leader, a lost soul. Perhaps there will be only one concentrated prayer, or perhaps, there will be one specific prayer for each day of the week to be continued for an indefinite time until—.
Thank you for strengthening prayer. Before Bible studies, buildings, furnaces, or revivals, prayer is the essential building block of the Kingdom of God on earth.
