Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. (NKJV)
No matter what your political stance the Bible is clear that God is the one who appoints the governing authorities. The Bible tells us to pray for those in authority in I Timothy 2:1-3. God considers this a good and acceptable thing. Take time this week and in following weeks to pray for your local, state, and national government. Pray they will have people around them that will give them good Godly council. Pray that they will seek God for strength and wisdom. Pray for our government leaders as their decisions will have a great impact on the current and upcoming generation.
